The Zwick 3108 Pusey & Jones hardness tester meets the requirements of ASTM D 531-89 and was specially developed for testing rubber rollers and similar specimens.

It is used to determine indentation depth for rubber and rubber-like materials such as rubber-covered rollers and rubber blocks (from 13 mm material thickness) and for paper rolls.

A vertical spindle incorporated into the rear of the instrument generates fine-scale movement of the integral electronic gauge, which shows the indentation depth direct in 0.001 mm units.
