Determination of Vicat Softening Temperature and Heat Deflection Temperature

For testing pipes it is usually the Vicat Softening Temperature (VST) that is determined, for example to EN 727. Various methods are available for this.

In addition to the classical oil-bath measurement, instruments are also available which feature heat transfer by direct contact.
