This device was developed to determine the forces required to actuate the plunger on sterile single-use hypodermic syringes (with contents as appropriate) in tests to DIN EN ISO 7861 and reproduces working conditions, i.e. aspiration and expellation of fluid. It consists of an upper and a lower clamping device for holding the syringes plus a height-adjustable fluid reservoir with connecting tube and is easily dismantled for cleaning.
